Frederic,

Sounds like fun! Wouldn't mind to swing by but I am not sure whether I am able or not. I might be on the job which is at sea you see.

You think it would be possible to just show up and then register and pay at the gate?

Regards,

Rick

sound interesting and just a short trip. Unfortunately the 300GE is not ready by then. I might come around with the G320....I mark my calendar.

English spoken? (German is also OK )

Klaus

If there is G-spoken, I'm sure everybody will understand each other ;-)

Excellent oppurtunity to show the Dutch and the Germans where to find good beer

I'm not organizing but Hans from the g-club is (meet him at a (tough and expensive (read: with damage) roadbook in the Ardennes - see pictures

What? Do I see the guy in the blue shirt leaning on the blue metallic G drinking Coca-Cola?

What is this business of showing the Germans and Dutch the best beer in the world?

Shame on him!

Just got this pointer, thanks North Sea Rough Neck.
So how do we get there and which G to bring. One for off road or one for show.

Why don't you bring both

Weather permitting, I will be on the Beach on the 15th but might not be able to make it to the treffen due to some family business.

I will definitely try to make it but at the moment it more leaning towards the family business that is coming up. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Re: Belgian 2nd G-treffen - Sept, 17 2006

Hey,

Date: Sunday 17th of September the 7th Belgian G-treffen

The place to be is between Bruges and Kortrijk.:

Steenbakkerij Ampe
Brugsesteenweg, 170
8740 Egem
Belgium
http://www.g-club.be/ndl/kalender.html

To get an idea of the place: It is an clay mining site.

Last year pictures:
http://www.g-club.be/ndl/fotoboekgtreffen.html

http://users.skynet.be/fa402661/tielt2006/index.html

So it can get pretty muddy.

If you want to drive it is 40 euro (incl food and a couple of drinks).
Do contact Hans: hans . eeckhout @ versateladsl . be or info @ g-club . be He will tell you if can pay on the same day or not.
I will contact him and maybe he can elaborate on the details.

I'm defenitely going, but I won't be drive as the G is still not completely ready (though maybe this is the time to do it).

As far as I understood Mercedes will present the new GL -class as it makes its European Debut.

Kind reGards

Wicx,

By reading their website, I see that it is a G-Club but, for this event owners of other Mercedes 4X4's are welcome.

(Net zoals vorig jaar is het de bedoeling om zoveel mogelijk G-klasses te verzamelen, maar ook andere 4x4-voertuigen van Mercedes-Benz zijn steeds welkom.)

Roughly translated;( Same as last year, the idea is to collect as many G-classes as possible, but other 4x4 vehicles from Mercedes-Benz are also welcome.)

It's a long drive from Italy. If you come, I'll see you there.

It's even a longer drive from Rio, where the Troll is located.

Really hate to say it but I can't make it to Pittem. As said, I have some family business to attend.

Hope you guys have/had a great time!

Are there any plans for a 3rd G-treffen in Belgium? If so, please keep me informed as I would very much like to be around the next time.

Regards,

Rick

Like no exhaust at all

Something about higher diesel intake as well.

Same engine as mine, but a lot louder and a lot faster
