Brent's Matterhorn Motel - Thank you again!

The Matterhorn Motel in Ouray, Colorado - Brent's place - what a wonderful comftable home away from home!

Thank you very much Brent, to have us stay in your family-run, nice and cozy place. the neat town of Ouray, has been called the 'Switzerland of the Rocky Mountains' not just for the surrounding mountain peaks but for it's friendlyness and hospitality.
We do also appreciate the front-row parking space between those magnificent machines, Experience-280GE and Outrageouslyspeedy-G55.

Your place will always be a destination for us, I have heard Dutch in already planning the next Treffen which is called "Rund' um's Matterhorn 2007".

Until then, our best regards to you and your family

Karl & Patricia

Definitely the place to stay when visiting the San Juan Mountains of Colorado (unless you're camping). Most certainly a 4 Star rating!!

Thanks Brent, for being an exemplary "Innkeeper". Thenardier would be proud!

That's a beautiful area! Reminds me of the area we stayed at in Massachusetts in the Appalachians area. Except there's more mountains in Ouray by the looks of it.

Ouray is above 7,500 feet. In the rocky mountains. Some of the most beautiful mountains in the world.

RE: Brent's Matterhorn Motel - Thank you again!

Thank you all for the kind words, they help ease the strain of 100+ hour work weeks and not being able to run trails with you fine people as much as I would have liked. Next year will be different, the learning curve part will be done, and a less regimented routine will take its place. Fortunately just living here makes it all worthwhile.

The Matterhorn Motel would love to host the next Treffen event. I get all manner of neat groups through here. Last night I had a Model T Ford group spend the night. They braved the snow and crossed Monarch pass in these cars, including one 87 yr old WW2 vet in an open car!

So lets see......We will not be open in November, I plan to close up for winter on Oct 15th and re-open the last week in April.

And yes, we have some AWESOME curving mtn roads around here! I sold my Porsche to fund part of the Motel start up but I still get up there in the old Buick when I can sneak away.
