Love our new G500

The new truck is great, and really well maintained. Warranty with star cert. and this one seems to sound better and move much quicker than the other G500. Is it possible that some engines just work better from the get go? I have heard this with certain cars, especially Benz diesels. Some are dogs... and some just zip along much better with the exact same mechanical configuration. Anyway,.... food for thought.

Cheers

RE: Love our new G500

Nice G you have.... I am green with envy at the humongous supply of good, fairly priced G500s you guys have nowadays in the US of A. It is becoming economically viable to re-import into the EU some of these Gs, even after allowing for the payment import duties and freight!

Mortinson, saying that you are envious of Toronto230ge's available supply of Gs in the US of A is like me saying that I envy your ready supply of Port and Parma...

By the way - no offense to our neighbours to the south...

It's called cross-border traffic, Tim. I was tempted to write "North America" instead but I wasn't sure if the NAFTA would work in Mexico's direction as well

Re: Love our new G500

Congrats! I had my silver G500 in Toronto a few months back and no one seemed to care too much about it. Is it considered a rare car there? Overall, I did not see a lot of car enthusiasts the few days were there...am I missing something?

Just to qualify, I wasn't expecting people to crowd around the G or anything, but I usually notice a few looks and glances around my neck of the woods just because it looks so different from anything on the road today.

Re: Love our new G500

Depends on where you are. I bought my G while I was on an extended work assignment in Seattle. I only saw 1 other G the 7 months I lived there. In Chicago I see several every hour of driving. In many smaller towns people comment they have never seen one. I liked the Puch logo for this reason. It only looks expensive w/ the Mercedes logo. If people don't know what it is and they don't see the 3 pointed star there are fewer assumptions.
