RE: 240gd cabriolet for sale

$30,000.00 Well, someone WILL buy it, won't be me!

I wouldn't even pay $25,000.00 for a 300GD TD installed Europa swap. The engine only has 15k on it! That is just highway robbery......my 2cents!!!

Re: 240gd cabriolet for sale

The 1986 230GE is the one I see in Beaufort, NC all the time. It is in tip top shape and has Louis Vitton interior.

I inquired about the price.

I would like to have it but I am sure they want a mint for it.

Hi Dave,

Russ owns the URL, however, I'm not sure about the updates.

RE: 240gd cabriolet for sale

I would be curious when this vehicle actually came to the US. I have Washington State registration for my 1980 300 GD Cabrio dating back to January 1981. It would be interesting to know if this one actually came here before that. I would have to stop speculating that mine is, perhaps, the first Gwagen to come to the US.

Russ Leabch.

I just talked to him yesterday. He is alive, well and very much active in the Gwagen business, providing sales, restoration services and technical support in Longmont, CO. He has an arrangement with both Marc Beyer and Jason Dickman for technical assistance and support, when needed.

Here's his contact information:

I don't know wheter it was the first one into the US, but it was the first one sent to the US by DCAG to "test the waters".
