RE: It dies and won't start

Yes inside the box. Schematic is not the proper word. Eurpopa faxed some sheets titled 1.7 Fuel Injection and Ignition system (ME-SPI). Further identification info AD)&.61-F-P-2000-02G

Connector A labled with partial listing 8 connectors in two rows

1A O2 Sensor
2A Voltage supply terminal 87
3A Gound (right A pillar)
ETC
7A & 8A both say Ground(right A pillar) (W29/2)

Connector B has only 4 connections
1B-2B no function shown
3B Programming connection (diagnostic socket)
4B Voltage supply (terminal 30)

The Europa tech circled 2A, 7A, 8A and 4B

I don't have a schemtic to trace and look for interconnects between the ignition/fuel injection and the starter.

One obvious one however is the Ignition Switch. Any know problems here.

Any thoughts on adding the drumming needles to the interconect between ignition, fuel injection, starter.

Thanks

Bill

I think the problem may be more than inter-related with the starter motor, if you have the type of start sequence you describe then there must be a permanent live to the starter motor, if that feed is being interupted what messages will the computer then be getting? just my thoughts.

Aren/t all these "conviniences" wonderful, makes me long for the automatic stability control, computer climate etc.

I suppose thats why when the 461 & 462 were produced, they left off most of those gismos, even left out the carpets, you can't easily plug into a dealers analytic computer in the heart of the Iraq or Afghan deserts.
Give me the 460 any day, cloths peg piece of string and a small hammer fix most things.
