This months Diesel power mag that iget say that mb will be offering the S class with a turbo diesel V8.. 325 hp ( i think, not looking at it right now) and 580lbtq...
Now the question i have is how did MB come up with S class drivers would rather have a diesel than G class drivers. I mean that seems like a real big "might" to sale the S class with a diesel...

the new S-Klasse Turbodiesels will probably be bought by the same rich older consumer types that bought brand new 300SDL's back in the 80's........long live the spirit of the OM617!! |

Maybe if MB starts selling a bunch of S Class TD's they will realize the same well heeled buyers of S-Classes need G-Wagens to take themselves skiing and will offer that motor in a G to the delight of the rest of us. Probably not... |
