These have turned up in my archives, the G is CV 0017, lets see who spots the location first. those who know will have been there.

Bill,it's the land of the "Stills",and Baa Lambs. I went down there from Ashford for 2 weeks in 85,the nice RAF person down there wanted me to do a conversion drive,to learn how to drive a G wagen,don't ask.

No,the SWB we "borrowed" for our Stay? had a genuine engine,had been liberated by the Blue Jobs,from a shepherd near Goose Green who had kept it hidden ever since the little "border incursion" for his own use. Fortunately the Blue job I was with had a bit of influence,and had never driven one before,and so we had it for a couple of days,to say it was a bit rough,was a bit of an understatement,Bill you would not have been a "happy bunny" .

Don't ever go there for a holiday. Enjoy your trip.
