Hi-Performance rotors for 460 mod!

Hi G-460 Owners, have contacted the manufacturer and supplier of the Powerbrake here in South Africa. They develop and manufacture these hi-performance disks/rotors for many vehicles and as requested by the G-Wagen Club of SA, he has started to manufacture the full set for the 460 model. A very nice person, Clive Murphy, he has assured me that the disk/rotors for the 460 are made for high performance and rated as one of the best.

He has mentioned that the pads that they use and supply as a kit with the disks are made specifically for the particular disks and supplied by JURID.

Any queries are very welcome and they have already exported many of the disks and pads to many parts of the world.
Cost of the set incl. pads: about 260 Euros/300 US$
(transport cost approx. 40 Euros/ 35 US$)

Thairish, if it has these dimensions and the MB # corresponds you're ok, but send them an email and inquire, they'll be just to pleased to answer.

AMZ, this is a great find. There are other companies that make these for the 463 chassis but not the 460. I am eager to give them a try. Sounds like you are happy with them on your machine. Thanks for letting us know that there is hope for better stopping power on these older trucks.

Cheers!

Re: Hi-Performance rotors for 460 mod!

Hi G friends, These disk/rotors work very well and from your first application you feel the difference, as I have explained before, last weekend I went to an off-road track to try out the new brakes, through mud, water, sand and the result where astonishing. You know how "mushy" the break feels after wading through water, well with the new brakes the reaction is instant. The braking power, according to "Performacebrake", should improve even more with time. Let see! BTW my last set of disk/rotors (by MB) have lasted about 80000 km, they had flat spots and badly marked.
Glad to be of help.
