Europa VIN in Russian Vin Decoder

Has anyone ever tried running a Europa Vin through the Russian VIN decoder? Is there anyway to alter the vin to make it spit out what i want?

Yes. I ass-u-me that you mean a Europa Internal VIN that starts with WDBEG.

If so, take the last six digits of the Europa VIN and put it in place of the small x's in the following: WDB4632411Xxxxxxx. That is the Chassis Number as it left the factory.

Re: Europa VIN in Russian Vin Decoder

This one has Y instead of X, any difference? Male vs. Female perhaps? Bad joke...but had too.

Not in the last six digits, it doesn't.

Start with what I posted above and substitute the last 6 digits of Europa's number with the x's in what I gave you. You then have the European Fahrgestell-ID.Nr. or Chassis Number. use it in the Russian decoder.

Ya, saw that afterwards, got it to work thanks! i always find it interesting how it can never tell you the year. undefined it always says, plus, some of the codes are undefined or not known.

Try using Mercedes Mania to decipher codes once you have looked them up via Russian VIN site.

Also you vehicle registration card should state when you car was manufactured.

Re: Europa VIN in Russian Vin Decoder

I guess there is a reason they are unknown codes, even the site doesn't know them...
