Removing running boards

How hard is it to remove the running boards on a 1999/2000 G500? Is their a market to resell them? What do I need to do to fill the holes and ensure that they are water resistant to avoid rusting? Would mounting rock sliders in place of the running boards utilize the same holes the running boards did? Sorry for so many questions but I think I have found a car and I really just can't stand the running boards and they will most likely get torn off when I'm off road.

Easy to remove. If they're Europa boards, you can probably sell them; as many folks like them better than the aluminum ones. Get rubber plugs to fill the holes if you don't want to use them; and, yes, some sliders make use of the same welded in nuts.

P.S. Your wife and/or your girlfriend will miss them.

when i took mine off i put the bolt back in the holes so i didnt loose them.

Now i have sliders from ORC and they use the same holes and bolts.

They are not hard to do, just hard to handle. I found the easiest way it use a jack or jack stands on the ends.. Unless you have really really long arms its hards to hold them up.
