Armored 280 GE

Just found this on mobile.de

Somebody told me they were produced, but I have never seen one. Does anybody know any details about armored 280 GEs. On the old forum there is somebody, who claims he owns one, but from his pictures it does not look armored.

These guys quite often have a bunch of armoured Gs and often 460s - but today only a G320.

you CAN NOT I repeat CAN NOT bring an armored G into the US without going a major grey/black market route.
I tried to get papers to bring one in.
They will not let you no matter what the year.
Believe it or not it is considered importing a weapon

Prince Harry will get one of these like every one else in his Regiment and he will have to make do, no favours, altho it is rumoured the seat has been reupholsered in crimson velvet.

I am not really interested in buying an armored car. Just would like to know something about those early armored Gs. But when somebody started talking about different armoring companies. I have seen 4 armored Gs today, 2 were factory 500s, the other two Asbeck 500 and 55K.

Luky, the only armoured early GWagens that I am aware of are those made for the German Police. These are heavily modified 280GE SWBs. I attach a few pictures but I have a bunch of lesser more.

Yeah, I know this SW3s, time to time I see them at used car dealers in Germany. I think some are still used by the BW in Kosovo.
