TWODOGS Extreme Veteran Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: UK Vehicle(s): Norwegian Army 240GD Posts: 584 | Another Falklands G I fine day out was had by all at the RAF museum Cosford in the UK , The main reason for me was to get a good look at the Ex-Falklands G , Claimed as a spoil of war by the British military , Listed on the display plate as a 290 . Chassis number 46121017012346 , 230G is in good condition considering its age and history , This will of been one of the first military contracts out of Graz ,if not the first ? Diff locks front and rear. Note the Mercedes chassis plate not Puch . The hunt goes on Twodogs (2007_0527Cosford0022.JPG) (2007_0527Cosford0023.JPG) (2007_0527Cosford0034.JPG) (2007_0527Cosford0050.JPG) (2007_0527Cosford0057.JPG) (2007_0527Cosford0060.JPG) (2007_0527Cosford0027.JPG) Attachments ---------------- 2007_0527Cosford0022.JPG (63KB - 0 downloads) 2007_0527Cosford0023.JPG (65KB - 1 downloads) 2007_0527Cosford0034.JPG (68KB - 0 downloads) 2007_0527Cosford0050.JPG (69KB - 0 downloads) 2007_0527Cosford0057.JPG (99KB - 1 downloads) 2007_0527Cosford0060.JPG (61KB - 0 downloads) 2007_0527Cosford0027.JPG (66KB - 0 downloads)

When did 461's come into production? 1982?? I really enjoy the fact that Mercedes' demand to have the vehicle back was met with "it was not available for return" as it was a "spoil of war." So: So now I hereby solemnly declare war on the USA (and am going to fetch a G55 in New York.) With my best regards, and sorry for any inconvenience etc etc, We remain, Boy G (2Lt) (Azanian Democratic liberation darkglassesandAK47 ragamuffin bumhangingoutoftrousers hanging on the side of a lorry despot Army) PS leave spare keys handy or else.
