I have studied the excellent writeup on clubgwagen.com. I have a few things to add: It is not needed to drain the coolant as the firewall pipes are higher than the radiator /engine. I might be easier to remove the whole dashboard, with the instrument panel. I used 2,5 hours to get it all out and disassemble the heater. I then discovered that I have got the wrong motor 12V instead of 24V. High pressure cleaned dashboard: Pull the floor plugs and flush out the coolant: regards Torfinn Edited by torfinn9990 5/28/2007 10:20 AM

Motor is 230 with sealed ignition and alternator wires, great for offroading in the wet. Warren

The dealer sent me the wrong motor so now he is sending me the right one. I paid around $340 for the motor. 24V have several advantages, greater starting capability in the winter, brighter headlights 60W vs 55W. Supply of parts is very good in norway, as several dealer have bought parts from the norwegian military. torfinn
