RE: request

4x4abc - 6/14/2007 1:26 PM as requested by the honorable host I am changing my signature from "Make me an instrument of peace" to "Lord, make me an instrument of your peace" Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love, Where there is injury, pardon, Where there is doubt, faith, Where there is despair, hope, Where there is darkness, light, Where there is sadness, joy!

Either way Dutch ... Its still one of my favorites ...

And ...

Reinhold Niebuhr

Hundreds of thousands of Drunks can't be all wrong ...

RE: My G is back on the road

G350T,i have read the whole topic and i am sorry to hear of all the problems you have had.buying a mercedes and especially a G is an expensive venture and you only end up the winner if you keep it.(nothing on four wheels will stand the test of time like a G,it will grace with age!)dont make that mistake my friend, you have now got the G to the state it should have been. 5 years later you will know what i mean.

plus the fact that you have set a good example to all of us hear,"never rush into anything and never give up."
stay where you are buddy and enjoy the ride....

you deserve it

gwagen460swb - 6/14/2007 8:47 PM James, I couldn't have said it any better. If it was me, I would have kept the Puch. My, $42K? Couldn't you buy a 2002 G500 and had some change left over? Was the money that worth it for only one of 3 G350DTs in the USA?
Certainly the expenditures were not intentional. If Richard could have forseen the fiasco he was getting into, I bet he would have never done it. The only problem I continue to have with the whole deal is this notion that the seller is somehow the problem. This is an old used car. If you buy it sight unseen, you get what you deserve, in this case a $25,000 G-wagen for $42,000. :dunce:

Bought sight unseen?  That is a definite no-no.  That would be the first mortal sin in purchasing a vehicle.  It sounds very childish that one would put the entire blame on the seller.  This is a classic case of not taking responsibility for your own actions as a buyer.  I always live by the Boy Scout motto "Be Prepared" and take the preventive steps of having headaches down the road.

Reinhold Niebuhr's grandson was my manager for the company I worked for in Little Rock.  I guess I was not totally right for judging him as a drunk.  When looking back, he was better than the last manager I had here in Oklahoma City.  I am a lot happier with my new job with my new company I started just two weeks ago.
