Having only really used BF Goodrich I'm interested in finding out more about them. They seem to be cropping up more and more in the hardcore 4x4 competition scene; I'm wondering if this is because they have large sizes available at a budget price (like those horrid Interco tires that everyone used to run) or are they actually a good tire?

Shebl Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Maxxis Tires I have never used the Maxxis tires before , but one user from another off road forum , is using them on his Rangie and his feed back that they provide very good grip and the side walls are really helpfull . The price is also another factor compared to tires in the same category the maxxis are really cheaper . I've done 15,000kms on road and they are wearing well, and I don't exactly drive slow around corners either! I'm needing new tyres for my 300GE and will go for Maxxis again.

Good tread meat, good traction, good price, but they wear out very fast and the sidewalls are not all that strong if you offroad in the rocks they can tear. another good bargain tire though is the Kumho Venture

I was very happy with them and were only $400 U.S. for a 10 ply tire.
