G500 SWB Cab Sighting

On my lunch break, i saw a Black W463 G500 Cab driving around, it didnt have the blinker mirrors, so, i'm assuming its pre 2003. Appeared to have a power top but i am not an expert with the cabs.... anyone on here own it? It was driving around Wacker Drive in Chicago, in the loop...

Re: G500 SWB Cab Sighting

That was me.

(I'm not telling the truth - but I wish I was.)

That wasn't you I saw the other day on I55 w/ 20s and whitewall tires? Actually, I think I was behind you about 1/2 a block on Fullerton heading West between Lincoln and Racine the other day.

i take fullerton west every saturday ~10am and east ~4pm. probably was me. You can tell my car from the rear by the two clear reverse lights.

during the week i take the almighty L train (i work in the loop, i'm poor and can't afford parking)

RE: G500 SWB Cab Sighting

It was Saturday if my memory is correct.

Is this the 2 tone you are talking about?

I can't figure out what the heck it is being used for or how it got that way. Odd badging, paint scheme, and a few other items that don't look right. Couldn't get close enough to get anything better. Meant to ask FJ - but forgot.

Re: G500 SWB Cab Sighting

Does it belong to someone associated with the White Sox perhaps? I've heard Jerry is a pretty egotistical ass from some family members in Chicago...

It is blue and silver - not White Sox colors. Don't know about Jerry, but Bill Wirtz (Blackhawks owner) gets most of the bad press.

Re: G500 SWB Cab Sighting

Oh my mistake, I thought it was Black and Silver, although I know Black and White are the appropriate White Sox colors. As much as "I'm not a fan of good ol' Al Davis and I do see him around from time to time, at least he has enough class to drive a simple Black S600.
