There are a few more posted here: http://www.pbase.com/flydutch/gclass_assemby These were taken in September 2005 when members of this Forum visited Graz. Also, as a reminder to our newer members, I have available a short commercially made video DVD which shows details of the Graz assembly line and the Schöckl Test "Track". Click the email button below, if you'd like to get a copy.

Canadian military G's are badass. I find it interesting that, while our allies to the north could probably pick their vehicles up in Indiana (Hummer H1) they choose instead to bring theirs halfway around the world. That says something.

That says something. It probably also says a little something about the fact that MagnaSteyr is headquartered just outside of Toronto, Ontario, CANADA.

That says something. Then what does it say about our own (US) special forces that use G-wagens for tactical operations? I am more impressed by the President of Russia using G-wagens and Mercedes Limos for Presidential transportation. Now THAT says something!

I enjoyed those pics. At first, I was thinking: Hmm...Maybe the Chinese are planning an imitation of the G, just like other makes/models of cars. Maybe it will be called the Guangzhou-wagen. Then it was another great slideshow of the assembly plant in Graz. Like I said, I always enjoy seeing the process of making a G.
