Elephant in the camp

This gent came to check us out as we started setting up campat Savuti. One of many unforgettable wild things experiences.

As I took this photo he sent me the "You're bugging me" message - ears out and head shaking. So I left that place. Quite quickly....

No, but I saw him before and after Maun - he helped a broken down Landy out of Moremi when I last saw him.

RE: Elephant in the camp

Hey Michael that's cool but your ellies have winky little ears.

Ours have big ears and you can't drive them like yours.

And ours also have diff locks on both axles.

And that pipe hanging from the animal on the left hand side can't syphon diesel.

Freek - there is the 290. Man that thing worked a treat in that sand. I'll post on the SA site re heat and fuel consumption and tyres and where to get good water and cold beer.

You win. A G500 with any animal (except Johnathan's dog - it won't wear a seat belt) wins.

RE: Elephant in the camp

Spots,
Do you know of any references to the effectiveness of those seatbelt harnesses for dogs? I've seen a bunch of stuff over the years about incorrect seat belt use sometimes being worse than no belt at all (at least on humans) I'm a big believer in belts as I've seen what happens when humans are ejected from cars, and I do worry about the doggie.
Sorry for the thread hijack, PM me if you want.
