I am helping a friend to locate one. His wife totaled her van and now realized with 2 kids, they want a tank! | ||

If that turns out to be accurate, then, you could visit driving one but you can't be a legal resident and own one. | ||

They allow importation of used cars with over 7,500 miles. Check your local laws. | ||

autonovice Elite Veteran Date registered: Dec 2006 Location: New York City Vehicle(s): '05 G55K, '92 350GDT Posts: 684 | Re: Bring a GL Diesel to California So .... we took delivery of the GL from the transporter yesterday, drove to DMV in Santa Rosa, CA, VIN & mileage verified and got the real license plate. All done ... it was EASY! The car runs well, hardly noticeable typical diesel knocks and no diesel noxious smell from the PIPE! I will take it for a long test drive this weekend. Now I am jealous. I want the same engine in my G! One thing I noted that the car comes w/ a donut as a spare. I wonder if I can swap my "real" spare tire from my G and mount this donut instead. Would save a lot of weight. | ||
