".... the car going very well but only to 100 km/h... after this is terrible. ..."

Welcome to P3! You'll find lots of good information and helpful people here. Can you say a little more about "...terrible..."?

Terrible in what way? Is the engine turning too fast or running out of power? Are you getting drive line vibrations at that point that were not present at lower speeds?

Again, welcome. I'm sorry I can't speak your native language, but you clearly have a lot of experience in English and a lot of ability to be working on such a deep issue with the G. Looking forward to a happy resolution.

Thanks for the answer. Do not worry for the languages i understand... by terrible i mean the engine are in very high rpm, also have some vibrations, but this is not connected. The vibrations come from the front cardan shaft but i will fix it. I have a lot of power in this rpm and the car going very well... when i change my engine i tested it and it's going with 170 km/h without any problems, but the rpm are in red Now, i drive it with 96 km/h on 3000 rpm, it's not bad for old G, but when i want to drive on highway it's not good, i must keep 4500 rpm to drive with 120-130 and this is not very good for the engine, it's very noisy and i have more fuel consumption... Now i think to change my 722.3 transmission with 722.6, will be perfect if i can keep 120 km/h on 3000 rpm What do you think?

I think there would be less risk and less money involved to change the R&P gears, provided you have someone you trust to set the diffs up correctly. A used transmission is a high risk, not knowing how well it was cared for or what treatment it received. These trucks are getting old enough that it will be difficult to find reliable transmission rebuilders to give you confidence in the transmission long term., and those that can be found are likely to be expensive.

What's the "red line" of the 3.2 motor? My old M110 redlined at 6500 RPM. If your 3.2 has a similar redline, I'd suspect R&P gears that factory fit to the 280GE would work well for you with the increased torque of the 3.2 making even higher ratios available for consideration if such things exist (I'm not an expert on the complete list of available ratios). At the very least you can let the extra torque of the 3.2 give you better drivability under heavy loads using the 280GE R&P gears.

Good luck my friend!
