Re: Military G side mirrors and snorkel

Hi Fernando,

the mirror shown in your EPC screenshot is the mirror for the IFAV, the Danish command G, the French P4....the mirror and bracket used nowadays for the G 300CDI single cab is shown in the following screenshot:

Both versions are available for the 300CDI single cab - electric and non-electric.

RE: Military G side mirrors and snorkel

I think you meant this is for IFAV. The EPC description and pics are wacky
for L & R IFAV mirrors.

Love them on the LWB Wolf! But how to put them away in case of it is being
used as a parade vehicle carrying the home coming queen?

Hi Minh,

yes - this bracket is not only used for the IFAV. The factory uses this bracket for G's when the specifications given by the customer are flipdown windscreen and removable doors. The bracket is either mounted on the left and right side of the a pillar or at the a pillar on the front side just below the windscreen. In the case of the parade (or the attack) you remove the doors, flip down the windscreen and you won't have to touch the mirrors at all - they will not interfere with the windscreen or anything else.

RE: Military G side mirrors and snorkel

Hi Jan-Willem,

this is the cable of an PTO driven winch. There is a Dutch fellow called Wouter (nick: Glock) who posted pictures of the same setup in his Kastenwagen: http://www.pointedthree.com/disc/forums/showthread.php?tid=14178&st...
Not a great many of those produced (100 + X) mainly for professional use. As the winch was not really visible and it was costing an arm and a leg few privateers bought it. Production stopped 2-3 years after the introduction in 1987.

A 461 500 02 55 Intake pipe
A 461 500 30 31 Bracket
A 461 505 00 51 Spacer Ring
A 461 505 00 80 Seal ring
A 461 506 00 34 Screen
A 461 506 01 34 Fitting

There are two other parts listed as being required however these parts do not show-up in the DB Database.
The numbers are:
A4615002981
A4615050088

Search on here and you will find a few people have fitted the snorkel with pictures

Can't help with the mirrors though

Happy swimming

Chris

What should A4615002981 be?
In my webparts it shows up as unknown part, maybe someone got some additional info on this, as I'm planning to install this snorkel.

All other parts are validated. Pretty cheap snorkel, that bracket is the most expensive part

RE: Military G side mirrors and snorkel

Hi Bram - the number is: A4618802206.

Keep in mind this fender will have holes drilled in for mounting the wheel larger, as the 270 was only available with 1475mm wide axles. If you want to keep your Kastenwagen stock or narrow body (to use the PORSCHE idiom), a little welding and grinding is required - your anyway a pro in such kind of stuff.

Re: Military G side mirrors and snorkel

Ah I see, the holes for mounting the flares are already pre-drilled.
I can weld them shut, but maybe I'll mount some narrow flares, not figured that out

Nice G300 btw, is that a Weissengelb color?
