I printed out all of the pictures on this thread. Should give me some good ideas when I get around to making a winch mount. thanks again Jamie Here you go: Total height of the spacer is 118mm. Diameter of the spacer is 24mm (round section) Total diameter of spacer + the welded strip is 36mm Width of the welded strip is 20mm. Let me know if you need anything else. Btw, all parts can still be ordered from Rotzler. These spacers are ref nr. 93 on the parts sheet. ] ] ] ] ] ] Gr. Bram Edited by bram_r 1/23/2015 6:00 PM

Long story short that .30 cal ammo can that I had used to store my winch controller, a "super syphon" for fuel transfer, and a 12v tire pump was stolen out of the G some time back and since that time I've not had use of the winch. I was going to make my own switch and adapt the wiring but a quick review of Bram's work here shows the impossibility of that. I also got a pretty big kick out of the fact I could buy a new controller from Rotzler for something over 500 euro. I looked around a little for a bayonet style connector like the original Rotzler one, but didn't find anything readily available. I was inspired by Bram's work and found two items on Ebay that I think will do the trick. One is a 500A sealed winch solenoid (reversing) for $65 and another is a wireless remote winch control for $22. Both free shipping from within the USA so I should see them in a week. I think I can mash the two together and have a nice new relay and control setup for the Rotzler on the cheap. The remote control will also me nice since I more often used the winch for hauling trees, stumps, etc around than the truck and in that case it will be nice to be able to control the winch from the far end of the cable if I want to. Plus it was a lot of fun reviewing this old thread! I'll follow up when I get further into the project. -Dave G.

Glad this old thread could be of any help getting the Rotzler working again and maybe even improving the controller by making it wireless! If you need any extra info, I got extra Rotzlers laying around now, one will be equiped with the Allbright relay again. Have to see which type of controller I'm going to use. I will update in the next months as my time is quite limited, but by spring I'm hoping to have some extra winch power again! Good luck with the project!
