Re: Smoke-in G500

Well it has been about a month and I am still puzzled as I have tried all the suggestions and there is still wetness at times. When it is wet is after I have driven through the sloppy slushy mess accumulates under the running boards and wheel wells. So I am convinced there is a opening under there somewhere so it seeps in as it melts. I do now make it a habit to stomp on the running boards so the slush / snow drops from the underside and melts on the floor which has helped. Explains why I have not seen these issues until winter started.

I am thinking of asking the dealer to scrap the lights and replace the flooring with a military / worker spec floor!

Re: Smoke-in G500

Wow, you've been busy researching this..
I've yet to find the time to crack open all suspect areas, looking for these bloody inverters.
I will/must and I'll post my findings.
At least you have a wiring diagram, I'm shooting from the hip!

Keep us all posted, please?

Re: Smoke-in G500

This post makes me feel a lot better about removing fuse 26.
I plan to take it out of the 2013 G550 tomorrow.
Illuminated sills do not turn me on, but the threat of fire does.
