You're a scholar and a gentleman... this is the first post I've seen with an actual tool that works on both and doesn't damage the boot; not that I need it this time but who knows. I just need to get mine off now... haha.

I actually ordered that part from the canadian Princess Auto place just to have for the future in case I don't want to destroy the ball joints, but in this case, it was all getting replaced so why not... Went to Autozone and picked up a $15 ball joint separator fork and bam. A little love with an 8 lb sledge and she was mine.
I mean, if you have the right tool, great... but if not you gotta make it come out.
