These things are worth every penny. My kids can close my doors now without slamming them as hard as they can. Sounds better too.

The 63 had those pins, but the 550 didn't. They made a HUGE difference in the sound of the doors shutting. I'm on the fence -- I like the latching noise the doors make now, though I'll probably upgrade eventually just to get rid of the squeaks I get when the silicone lube wears off.

This might help/cut down on the door movements..... Karl (IMG_8671.jpg) (IMG_8672.jpg) Attachments ---------------- IMG_8671.jpg (78KB - 0 downloads) IMG_8672.jpg (86KB - 0 downloads)

The doors close smoother. The biggest difference is that passengers haven't had to re-close door because they didn't slam hard enough the first time. In the past a lot of times when a new passenger would close the door they wouldn't close it hard enough and I would either have to same something or they would realize and have to do it again. I didn't notice a big change in sound. I still lubed the doors w the Benz magic goo. I think even with changing the striker you still need to do this. Def worth the $22. Now I'm really wondering if this striker can also be used on the back door. I think so, but I have to look at the size of the striker on the rear. It may be a little bigger. Anyone know?

Specifically needed for rear cargo door. Thanks in advance. Do you mean the double wedge (A.463.740.00.03) mounted on the frame of the doorway or the single wedge with the latch (A.000.740.06.35) on the edge of the door?
