LT275/70R18/E without a lift?

I have a 2002 G500 with 265/60/R18 tires. I would like to upgrade to 275/70R18. Would I be able to run that size without a lift or other modifications? Thank you for your insight. (I'm considering the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx).

Re: LT275/70R18/E without a lift?

I'm running this size (GY Duratrac) on my 2000 G500 with no lift. I run a 10mm spacer, but that is because I have a 20mm different offset than you. With MBUSA wheels you should have zero rubbing issues. With my 10mm spacer, which still leaves my wheels 10mm further inboard than yours, I only rub in full lock, reverse, one direction (can't remember if it is left or right).

I am running 33s on stock suspension with very little rubbing and I have ET63 rims. I get a bit of rubbing at full lock. It bothered me at first. Now I barely notice it. With stock ET43 rime, I don't think you'll have any issues.

RE: LT275/70R18/E without a lift?

Or you can consider 265-70-18 for zero rub what so ever and you will have a quarter inch more space between tire and fender than 275s ,useful if you ever needed chains etc
They say 10 % increase in profile and same size in width as stock usually results in the most versatile mod for most vehicles like the G
The 275 s will also give you quarter inch more body clearance from the ground and slightly worse gas mileage because they are a little wider and half inch taller.
On the pavement the 265-70 will ride and handle better.
In looks they both look great.

I think I hit the wrong reply on another post. At any rate, thanks for the info and your G looks great!

RE: LT275/70R18/E without a lift?

The 275/70/18 fits on the US G500 rim (ET43mm) with no rubbing. I ran that size for 4 years with no problems on my 2002 G500 with stock height, no lift.
I was using the General Grabber AT2, I still use these on my 1999 G500 with winter studs, as they come pinned.

Here is a pic with the 275/70/18 setup

Thank you. Those Duratracs looks really "gnarly". Me like.
