RE: M113 pulley failure - again

Recently replaced belt, pulley and tensioner on my M112 E240 210-body , 170.000 miles. New tensioner (Febi Bilstein) much stiffer than the one it replaced, most defineatly worth a look.

Re: M113 pulley failure - again

When I did my belt and pulley a couple of years ago, I just replaced the tensioner pulley and not the whole tensioner. The tensioner seems like a low wear item and I would guess that failure would consist of loss of tension rather than higher tension as Harald has experienced.
