RE: Oh dear

I will join in and congratulate you on a most impressive and quick turnaround on
a project that looked impossible at the start.
I, too, have two SWB G´s. One for offroad (460) use and one (463) as an expedition vehicle.
Live in northern Norway and out of harms way for rust/corrosion (no salt used on roadways)
although have to shop used G´s from other parts of country.

RE: Oh dear

A quick update, she is flying together now, all wired up and runs and drives. Just the cab to finish off and then off to the paintshop she goes!

RE: Oh dear

Well, it took longer than I thought but I can proudly present the G in its full glory.
Authorities are satisfied with the engine swop, the safety inspection was passed today and I have actually driven it today ( all day if I am honest)
Time to reflect: was it worth it?
Financially , no absolutely not
Would I do it again, NO
DO i regret doing it? No no no, i had a blast, learned a huge amount and my 33 year old G drives beautifully and I love it!

EDIT: Photos removed to be resized.

I'm blown away to see what you've done to that truck.
Some serious after hours put in for that outcome!

RE: Oh dear

Amazing work Richard. You've built your own G from the ground up. Not many can say that. So when are you shipping it to the US for a "Prudhoe to Ushuaia" tour?

Congratulations my friend!
