I was wondering if it's the one he's using today.DesertStar - 8/10/2014 10:20 PM Nice Phone Mike. MarkI opted to replace all cooling hoses and vacuum lines(under intake manifold) and the serpentine belt...in hindsight, I should of did this when I did the wiring harness and saved a few steps and SCRATCHES. I have never seen so many hoses. Might of been a little overkill as some of the hoses were OK, I should be good for the next 20 years. Mike

I am curious what part numbers you replaced. My G was built Nov/1994 and EPC calls for 2 pin sensor as common on sedans but the new engine wiring harness I replaced had connection for single pin sensor....strange. mike Edited by DesertStar 3/12/2015 4:41 AM (g320sensor3.jpg) (G320 sensor.jpg) Attachments ---------------- g320sensor3.jpg (108KB - 0 downloads) G320 sensor.jpg (145KB - 0 downloads)

I hope this is helpful to someone in the future. Tools required are a 90-degree hooked awl-type tool; a flat-blade screwdriver; a 7mm Allen key (long is better); and the special 7mm MB "stubby" socket for the fan clutch bolt (this is not required but makes the job a bit easier). It's also a good idea, before starting the job, to insert a piece of cardboard on the backside of the radiator to protect the fins from any accidental bumping or gouging from the Allen key and socket used to remove the fan clutch center bolt. Key steps:
Cheers,
Gerry, are you sure it is a 7mm hex / allen wrench for viscous fan clutch removal and not an 8mm as used on the sedans ? MB part# A103 589 0109 00 shows as removal tool in W463/M104 manual which is an 8mm. I will be doing this next week.
Thanks, Mike EDIT: I just got to the shop and verified that I need an 8mm hex to remove the bolt that holds viscous fan. Edited by DesertStar 3/30/2015 10:07 PM

Brain fart on my part. I haven't forgotten your question on the sensor. Will get to that soon. Been busy lately...
