Return to Europe

I am in the process of selling my G55 and G500 in anticipation of our return to Europe (Spain) next month. I will be looking for a LWB diesel G as a replacement but will not be in any hurry.

There are three options that I've considered: G300DT, G270CDI and G320CDI. My personal preference is for a low mileage G300DT, primarily due to mechanical and electronic simplicity (I will be heading to North Africa). My budget will be about Euro30k.

I'd appreciate some views on the three (or any alternatives e.g W461) from those that either have an opinion or own one of them.

Ta.

Re: Return to Europe

W461 with an OM606 would be the best of all IMO.

I think that Raicar still has a W461 G270CDI Swiss Worker for sale.

Re: Return to Europe

I can't seem to find any W461s in Spain, having tried a little. There seem to be plenty of G400s and lots of SWB but I'm not keen on those options. The OM606 is in the G300DT, hence my preference.

Re: Return to Europe

Does anyone know if the K40 relays on a G500 463.241 and a G300DT 463.331 are interchangeable? Part numbers, respectively are: 210 540 00 72 and 210 540 03 72.

RE: Return to Europe

Definitely not interchangeable.  There is some small chance the G500 version would work for the G300, but I doubt it.

The same basic resoldering fix works on all these modules though.

RE: Return to Europe

A G400 would be alright, just skip the early editions. Remember you always hear the complaints :/
