The Metra harness plugs right into the G command harness. If you want to hook up the speed sensor on a pIoneer NEX system, you will have to cut that. The appradio4 doesn't have a speed sensor hookup so I left that alone.

Thanks for posting about the Ebay AC controller! My old one stopped working correctly years ago (specifically the Auto button) and I just got the Ebay one the other day and look forward to installing it. |

After installing an aftermarket radio is there a way to fix the time on the dash display (for daylight savings, etc)?
The A/C controller from Ebay works great, by the way. There are a few extra buttons that don't seem to do anything but it was very easy to install. |

A lot of great info in this thread and a few other Radio installation threads I've been studying today. I recently installed a Pioneer 7000NEX. I got the radio, Steering Wheel control and Nav working great. Round 2 will add SAT Radio and Back up Camera in OEM housing. I think I've found the correct wire for VSS, the Reverse Signal wire is the only one still in question. I've read this wire can be found under the driver's side dash and near the CD Changer. Is there any way to grab the signal on the Connector C2?
The Pioneer 7000NEX also has two USB Ports and a HDMI in the rear. I found the following connector to add to the armrest storage to give a clean finish.
Dual USB A Female to A Male Panel Mount Cab 6 ft.

Hmmm got me thinking......Would a AC/heater controler from a newer G or C class be a plug and play type of thing?
I really like the look of the 2007+ controllers better than the older ones. |

There are two plug and play upgrades to digital AC controls available. One is for 02-05 and the other for 07-12 G-wagens. I guess 06 fell through the cracks?

I was actually talking about a newer C class controller OR even the 2007+ G wagon controllers? Like actually MB parts but from a newer year.
