What´s up with the head-light.... turned in an angel...?

german govt regulation, headlight projector position has to be within certain specified distance from the outer edge of the vehicle
that's why they've been moved outwards

to avoid people running into your precious carbon fiber fender flare

Re: G500 4x4

Does it have a spare wheel? If so, it must be in the back. Does any one have any photos of how it's mounted?

Re: G500 4x4

Don't believe it comes with a spare.  Hence my comment above.

No spare.

Interesting box on the side though.

RE: G500 4x4

Are those coil overs height adjustable?
Can that stupid thing be lowered?

Even with the wider track and stupid looking fender flares it still looks like a roll over special to me...

Where are the 37s and air controls like the 6x6s

When I look at this thing with those wheels and fender flares I feel like getting sick...

Merc engineering is getting goofier every year.....if it was build right as the clearance suggests for of road use I would be the first one to buy one, after looking at this I would not drive one if it was free!

RE: G500 4x4

Who would go of road on any serious note or trip with out a spare!

So it would be more top heavy to have a 35 -37 inch spare,no visibility if at the rear door and too much weight to be held by the door so they just delete the spare....that says a lot about how they expect no one will ever use one of road.....or the fact that the weight of that size spare would effect safety loading the truck with it.....and reducing GVWR.....I wonder how little weight can one put on this little super tall box.....who came up with that 4x4 square sales job emblem?....what a scientist!......
What is wrong with the spare inside between wheel wells on the floor recessed as deep as possible......I wonder if that option was done what tip over angle would this truck have then, especially if one wants to load it up and go on an expedition.
Using the roof is totally out of question.....the inside is the only option, roof top tent out, accessories you ad enough there will be no capacity left for people as cargo I bet ,I would like to know the GVWR .

Another what is up with the 4 litter?.....might be the best part if it gives any range.....
No other engine options?

Did any one consider how ugly this thing looks with those fender flares l?

Those fender flares will be useful when you go for a picnic as a table while you are standing up !

I will love to see them driven in the cities with those polished stainless bumpers ,they look like the ugliest car on earth.

It's got those interesting off-road LED lights at the top, looks very practical.

Does anyone know if there's a part number for these, or if it's possible to order some? 6x6 had the same ones.

The 6x6 civilian is 463.272 I have spent quite a bit of time on EPC trying to find the part number for the roof mounted fairing and light bar without success.
I doubt a US dealer or the MB Classic Center would be able to find it either, best bet might be GFG in Germany or ORC, but $$$$

Now available from the PRC courtesy of Ebay

Re: G500 4x4

It says it's for w469 lol and you have to drill the roof to install.
Id like to know the ground clearance of the top of the running boards. It looks like it should come with a ladder to get in.

Re: G500 4x4

Those metal bumpers hanging down look like complete ass, I would remove that crap right away. With all of the aftermarket vendors on here, the spare tire thing could be solved pretty quick if there was demand for it. I cant stand the roller skate look that everyone goes for now. 37" tires with 22" wheels looks like roller skate or skateboard wheels to me. That thing could easily be lowered 3-4" as well.

I do like the front and fuel tank skid plates, I do like the portal axles, and i do like that storage box inside over the wheel well.

Re: G500 4x4

4x4 squared is just a packet for the G500 4.0 BT (463.234) but the special parts are not in the EPC. They have a special online parts catalogue for the 6x6 and for the 4x4 squared which only MB workshops which are authorised to work on such cars can enter.
