Should I hire an importer, or is it easy to do myself? App how much should it cost ( duty etc) if I do it myself or hire an importer? Any body recommend a good importer if I need one? Is ther anything else I should know? Virgin Importer Thanks Will

They emailed me all of the necessary forms, talked me thru the process of filling them out, got US Customs pre-approval paperwork done, picked up the G at the seller's place of work (this morning)and arranged for transport to New Mexico where they will deliver it to my place of choice. Cost was about $3k, taxes included. I'm super slammed at work right now so I took the easy way. A large portion of my expense is the transport almost all the way across the country so your expense wouldn't be anywhere near that A N Deringer has an office at almost every US/Canada border crossing. Call the one closest to you. William

The seller was Titus Pullo. It was great doing business with him - he was super helpful and patient while we arranged the sale and transport.
