AGuess Elite Veteran Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: Holly Springs NC Vehicle(s): 93 500GE, 93 500GE, 2002 G500 Posts: 717 | Re: G500 - Variation in spark plug condition Hello Hans, On my 93 500GE with the M117 engine, I had something like this and after testing the compression on each cylinder ( all good), I believe the problem was the valve guide seals had dried out and needed to be changed. With a friends help, we changed them and I have not had any further problem with the G burning much oil and the spark plugs are not fouling. Just my experience, hope it helps. AGuess | ||

Thanx for the input. Since the fouling was even on each cylinder, on that row, I don't suspect problems with pistons or pistons rings. You suggestion sounds reasonable, worth investigating. | ||
