I have a number of items that I would like to refresh and/or replace, although don't want to pay the extreme prices for new ones at the steelerships. I've had by G-Wagon now for nearly 15 years and I have to mention how disappointed I am with Mercedes on some of the ABS plastics that they used. They are so brittle! I'm looking for little things like driver's door arm rest door pocket. The end piece on the seat corners and misc switches that I've worn out. Stuff like that.

Small parts like the ones you mention can be found there from time to time. Or try Mercedes G shop on ebay.de: http://stores.ebay.de/Der-Mercedes-G-Shop and off-road world: http://stores.ebay.de/mercedesgpartsaccessoriesshop/ Edited by thebigblue 1/15/2016 5:30 AM

I removed both of mine years ago. I have not decided if I actually want them back. it gives plenty of additional foot room, and I don't accumulate junk in there that takes several hours to clean out from time to time.

I visit junk yards every now and then in The Netherlands, but almost never came across a G. Your best bet is to contact the well known G-traders. gr. Bram

I bought new ones from Mercedes. They look stock, take little time to produce and will last at least 10-15 years.

I'm not going to try to copy the original shape, don't like them too deep like they are, the new ones are just going to be straight aluminum with the pocket maybe 4" deep. They are quite overpriced for being something so easy to break. 15 years from now they may not be available anymore so we all may end up making our own.

Get some washers just big enough for the screws to slip through, get some 2" square fiberglass fabric swatches. Mix up some epoxy, then layer on: epoxy, washer, epoxy, fabric, epoxy. Wait a day, drill through the washer hole. Done. Never going to break free again. It does irritate me to have to do the original engineer's job for them.
