Is anyone having problems logging on to BenzWorld forums? I've been a member for years; but all of a sudden it will not recognize my Username or my email address.
Anyone else? Maybe I've been banned!?!!?? |

Hey guys, word on the street is that many car forum sites have been hacked. Now whether this is directly correlated to Benzworld, it seems to have affected a lot of v-bulliton sites. Just a heads up.

I got an email last night saying my password was reset by an administrator w/ a new password supplied. |

Did that one work?
The website right now says it has no record of my Username or my email address, even though I can see some of the messages posted with my Username. A new password won't do much in that case.
It's obviously "fornicated above", as a friend of mine used to say. |

The emailed password worked for me. I hadn't logged into BW in a heck of a long time either - so I don't think they deleted old logins.

Dutch, strange you mention this. Out of the blue they emailed me a new password a couple of days ago. The only thing I could come up with is that they were perhaps hacked. I have not used it yet however. I will soon though, I haven't been there in awhile. |

I also got the new password reset mail.
However, there's an update on their page:

If you have not received your password reset email please use the password reset function “forgot password”. These emails will go through a paid provider and should show up instantly. To do so just go to log in >> once it redirects you click forgot password >> follow the steps provided. If you do not remember the email address associated with your account you can use the contact us tab at the bottom of the page to email us for assistance. Please select the “other” option and add subject “security password issues”
