Anyone have interior trim around windows sticky?

The top portion of the interior door trim on all my windows has a sticky film as if there was some glazing that has broken down. Also, same result with the knobs on my a/c controls. All very sticky. Anyone have interior trim around windows sticky? I doubt I am the first.

Same for the steering wheel knob. Have found a tutorial online to treat them with alcohol and the sticky thing will be ripped away.

My steering wheel buttons/switches get very sticky and start to lose their coating after a lot of use. Not sure if alcohol is the answer, as I think it might remove the markings.

RE: Anyone have interior trim around windows sticky?

Just about all of the gray interior window trim has become sticky to varying degrees. In the worst areas I used mineral spirits to remove the textured coating. This exposed a gray base plastic that still looks okay. Eventually I guess I'll have to do it to all of the window trim parts.
My assumption is that some kind of cleaner or surface dressing (Armour All?) that got applied by a detailer at the dealer or other service facility caused it to break down.
