The tank sender is a bayonet mount. It has raised sheet metal edges. The unit needs to be twisted ~30 degrees counterclockwise to release. Then it goes straight up. Pull it up very slowly. It is most likely full of fuel and the fuel drains out through a tiny hole in the bottom. Pull it up quickly and it will pee fuel all over the inside of your G. Tank gauge not working? | ||

Don't have gas, so can't verify from here. | ||

They typically plug from the bottom up as gunk gets caught in the screen. I think that it just unscrews. You might need another seal #11.
