headlight adjustment help needed

Hi guys
just installed HID's and can't find any post to help me adjust the beams. the only posts I found even on the WIS was with a special machine.
anyone have a procedure with a wall?

As far as I recall - in EU at least - the beam must drop 1 cm. per 1 m., you need to do some measurement then.

Whatever you do, please be sure to aim them low enough that they do not blind oncoming drivers!!!!!

Whatever you do, please be sure to aim them low enough that they do not blind oncoming drivers!!!!!


When I put my LEDs in, I thought be smart - have the lights adjusted. $80 later later they were illuminating the moon :-(

I then put a car with "known good" adjustment a distance from a wall - made some marks at the wall and adjusted the G's headlights to match

Most light patterns have a step up on the right side of the optical center.  Put the bottom of that notch straight ahead for each bulb.  This should result in the headlights pointing straight forward.  This way the cutoff on the left stays out of oncoming eyes and also the drivers door mirror of the car in front of you.
