Also checked the German site. Any idea what type of oils are to be used in Laid up engines ? I have a bunch of engine in storage and would like to give them a little love. Peter

Some folks "pickle" engines by sealing everything with plugs and filling them with oil from the intake but thats a ridiculous mess and likely unnecessary for most. Boat/Marine shops usually have lots of different engine storage fogging oil sprays.

Alternatively you can fog through glow plug/injector port. Intake side of the head is also an option for fogging but that would require removing intake manifold which is more work than exhaust.
