2000 W463 Europa Blower Resistor Location

Does anyone know where the blower resistor is in the 2000 w463?
I'm trying to fix the notorious "blower only works in positions 1 and 2" problem.
I know that in later models the part was moved to the passenger footwell.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks!

The resistor lives in the fresh air box. Open your hood with the fresh air flap open and you can access it.

I had similar problem. A new blower switch solved my "works in 1 and 2" problem. I replaced that first, as I already had the dash out, with the thought I may have to replace the resistor.

I replaced my switch and resistor when having a "doesn't work on 1" problem. It was the resistor.
If indeed you end up replacing the resistor, a fully open hood and very small hands are necessary.

Does anyone know where to buy a resistor?

Does anybody know the P/N for the resistor? Is there any other MB model that uses the same part?
