Now I understand why there is no pic in the brochure. it has been developed on a Friday morning around 11 o'clock and had to be finished the job before eating some frankfurter wurst for lunch. looks ugly as hell.

Ain't pretty, ain't rugged looking, any idea what's its purpose? Steel must be to protect the fragile intercoolers in the bumper somewhat better that the standard plastic/glasfiber i guess... BTW it´s strange to me that the windows are manual, but the seats are electrical... odd indeed. I would prefer it the other way around. Edited by thebigblue 10/23/2016 8:18 AM

Its appearance has that thin gauge steel look though, doesn't present like it means business, unlike bumpers made for a wench. Looks as though the front skid plate is wider?

I would prefer it the other way around. Well the mechanical window regulators have a average life of 10 to 20 years, depending on drivers or passengers side. It's about 130 euro to replace. It seem to me, that complaints of electrical window regulators failing, are more commonly heard and with a higher price. I could see why they would eliminate that concern from their "tougher" series. But don't get why they simply did not install the seat adjustments from 463 series until about 1996. They have it and it works just fine.

thebigblue Date registered: Jan 2012 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: WTF?!- G350d Professional steel bumper Yeah - you´re probably right Johnny. My thoughts about the electrical seats is based on the annoying CAN-bus controls in my 2005 W463. The controls can't stand any dusty environment for long. But these must be just normal switches not depending on CAN-bus communication and computers. Still manual seats would be just fine in a rouged vehicle.

The side waist trim are old style rubber still. The tin can noisy floors are a minus IMO. Here is what I did with the front end of my 1999 463. The old tow pin bumper makes it a bit better than the new truck, I think. (FrontCorner.jpg) Attachments ---------------- FrontCorner.jpg (272KB - 1 downloads)

It should include HD military spec 16 inch wheels with AT tires, LeTech roof rack, HD suspension and I think a steel bumper as well.

I took my Brush guard off and replaced the slots with the snap in plastic pieces. There has to be a place in the bumper for the radar device and I think the above bumped lacks the place for the radar. The brush guard now resides in the basement as I hope one day to sell it to a wanton buyer. I do however like the new skid plate as it allows oil changes with it on. The 2002 had a problem with the skid plate being a problem for changing oil. The 2016 rear skid plate is properly made and I like it also. I'll give the new 2016 bi turbo one thing I like....when you give it full throttle, you better hold on.
