460 windscreen frame repair

I recall seeing a post outlining the steps taken to repair a rusted windscreen frame.
I searched here and the DIY forum - but no success in locating the post.
Can someone send a link? thanks

RE: 460 windscreen frame repair

Thanks J.R. - this is helpful, but the post I was referencing had a fair amount of metal replacement in some localized areas.
Might have seen the other post on a different forum.

RE: 460 windscreen frame repair

G-AMG had to cut out a bad section, grind and prep, form metal and do some welding. Not sure what you're up against.

Mind sharing some pics with us?

RE: 460 windscreen frame repair

I'll definitely send before, during, and after photos.
There's some bubbling just under the gasket.
I imagine once I get into it there'll be some metal preplacement.
more to follow.
