G500 Door locks

Hello Guys and gals,

I have been trying to read through the posts so that I may find some resolutions to my issues but there is just so much to read. With that said, I hope some one here can shed some light on my issue.

I had the driver side and rear passenger side door locks inoperable when I got the truck. I bought the $59 aftermarket lock actuators from our favorite four by four online parts store. Installed the lock actuators and they worked for all of 5 mins. After five mins, the door locks stopped working again. Now my rear drivers door also will not lock but will unlock.

In putting everything back, I noticed that a few door panel tabs were broken causing the door lock knob to rub against the panel. I have since put in new tabs and lock knobs.

Any and all suggestions appreciated. I just want the locks working... nothing like walking up to the "G" and having to use the key to unlock the door.

This is usually due to the relay module that drives the lock motors.  This is an easy fix if you can find the module and a soldering iron.

I am not sure... you may know better.

If I locked with the remote and open with the key first... Alarm goes off. If I unlock with the remote first and then unlock and open drivers side door, alarm does NOT go off.

I decided to change course. I am going to go with the OEM locks instead of the aftermarket ones and than I will be doing this. THANK YOU!!!
