Servo Seals on 722.3xx trans

I have 1996 with a M104 and 722.329 transmission and have been chasing a leak, I put some UV dye in the transmission and found I lave a decent leak from both the front and rear servo's on the passenger side of the transmission. How difficult is this to repair, not much data I can find, it appears that both servo covers are held in by a C-clip that is released by pushing in the servo cover and removing the C-clip and servo cover.

There is then a rubber gasket there that appears to be my problem, has anyone done this job before or have any tips.

Re: Servo Seals on 722.3xx trans

I'm not familiar with this 722.329 transmission, but there are somel links in this topic leading to various workshop manuals:

Maybe one of these covers your transmission?

Also a lot of manuals to buy here: http://4x4abc.com/Mercedes-Benz.G-Class.manuals/available.html

Thanks with the first link there is some data that is helpful, it seems to remove servo covers also called the B1 and B2 the cover just gets pushed in and the snap ring is removed and the cover pulls out.

Inside the cover is a lip seal or o-ring that needs to be replaced.....seems simple enough.
