Boy G Expert Date registered: Feb 2007 Location: Bushveld, South Africa Vehicle(s): Diesel G's: 617A and 602 Posts: 1683 | 711.113 s speed shifter I am looking for the part number or car models that were fitted with a dogleg ( left down ) 1st gear please. I need to get a shifter knob. And while down there I have twice been incorrectly supplied with the larger, sedan and G type rubber bushes that fit into the selector arms on the gearbox. The 711.113 type gearboxe bushes are smaller and apparently do not exist in my part of the planet. Anyone have that part number please? By voorbaat dankie.

Good luck! -Dave G. | ||

I am just wondering how many Olds 76 Cutlass are silently awaiting my liberation of their shifter knobs down here in the darkest corner of the planet!! Incidentally I have this really neat original dogleg shifter that bolts directly onto the 711.113 gearbox - must have been the little truck it was on originally. It is very robust and positive but I cant work out a way of using it in a G. My current project FYI is a complete stripdown of a rustbucket SWB vehicle that I originally bought for spares and felt sorry for. The chassis is ready (617a and 711.113). The body is nearing structural completion after hacking out yards of rusted panels and making it into a pickup. https://www.mb4x4.co.za/index.php?threads/oyoyo-now-chicken-coupé.29...

Once I got the harddrive recovered I will look into it. I got both 250GD Wolf and 461's 290GD w/711.113 VIN's that have this shifter. I also saw a webshop lately that offered these shifter knobs from Wolfs, but the knobs were out of stock at the moment. gr. Bram

A201 267 04 10. The shifter knob is available ex Germany for about $250. Converted to my currency it equates to about 360 bottles of beer. I am going to make a wooden knob and write upon its upper surface with a wax crayon.

I have asked this question on various places without luck. I used Dave ' s info above and got a google image of the correct looking thing with a part number. The 4 speed G or 123 or 124 knob costs here $30. It will be nice to have the right thing showing me where the gears are just in case my memory fails. I Will appreciate your info.

Dankie Bram! I will track them on Monday. Haha, graag gedaan! I've used a 1990 250GD Wolf VIN 461-401-17-067586 for these partnumbers. These Wolfs came with 711.116/7 transmissions. Double checked on Fernando's 290GD which also came with an iron box ex-factory. gr. Bram
