The new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet

Strictly limited: open-air luxury both on- and off-road

Stuttgart. A G-Class like never before: With the G 650 Landaulet*, Mercedes‑Maybach presents a new masterpiece of automotive engineering. After the Mercedes-Maybach S‑Class and the S 650 Cabriolet, the open-top G‑Class is the first off-roader from the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. The exceptional G 650 Landaulet follows the equally spectacular variants AMG G 63 6x6 and G 500 4x42. With its superlative V12 engine, portal axles, electric fabric top and exclusive equipment specification in the rear compartment, this very special all-terrain vehicle, which is limited to 99 units, meets the expectations of customers who demand the very highest standards of their vehicle. The Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is surely the most exclusive form of stylish open-top motoring.

Re: The new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet

The passenger appointments are nice, the stance is really ugly, IMO and the cost is out of this world, I live in. Seems there's a new world of "cost no problem" ready to place orders for this violation of the original design.
Just my take on it!
Peace..

Re: The new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet

Of course Maybachs are all about pampering the rear passenger.
There is another photo that I did not post that shows a screen/blind that lowers between the front and rear section to give the rear occupants privacy.

So, where does the luggage go?

RE: The new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet

Only two words come to mind...

"YEAH BABY!"

Nothing says "because we can" like thermal cup holders riding on portal axles. I love it!

I also love that there's actually a market for NINETY NINE of these things.

PS:
Oh sorry I thought you guys had this much better and more entertaining link to the vehicle description:

Re: The new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet

What's not to like..noisy rag top.. rear leather seats, video screens and electronics under a tarp. I guess if you do not live near the ocean and own a boat, this is the next best thing!
