Any info or thoughts on this Europa 1990 300GD? http://www.europagwagen.com/inventory/inventory.html I would like to move from my 2003 MBUSA G500 to an earlier, more home-maintenance friendly diesel G. The naturally aspirated 3L diesel motor does not have a lot of power but is an incredibly reliable motor. It may be okay in the SWB Gwagen. Since you are used to the gas V8, I suspect you would be better off in a 1999-2000 G500. No CAN BUS or microswitch issues. Another forum member here has an early 300GD 463 that he put the sedan turbo motor into, Inkblotz. | ||

The 603N/A motor was a little lethargic but will move you along nicely till you decide to upgrade to a turbo motor. This is a great starting point for an early 463 G. I would buy it if the price was right. Here is an example of cars with the turbo motors for sale: https://www.copart.com/lot/21596317?eid=email_US_mktg_Watchlist_Vehi...
