Photoman Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: New Zealand Vehicle(s): 280GE, ML500, 280SE 3.5 | W460 Winch Bumper Greetings So after 12 years of owning my 280GE I finally got a winch... well I got given a brand new winch! Hours and hours later I can't find any images/info on how I want to mount the winch. Most of the winch bumpers are to big/heavy for what I like, and of course would cost a small fortune to ship down here in New Zealand. The plan is to try and keep the original bumper line. I don't want to have the winch sticking out in front where damage is likely to occur. I've had an engineer (who is a mad keen 4WD man himself) look at it and he says we can fit the winch inside the line of the factory bumper, and in line with it. Means cutting the grill (and bumper of course) and some serous fabrication - but very doable. Has any seen a setup like this? Even better has photos of such a setup? Thanks Sean | ||
