I'm in a similar situation, my truck is also 24 volts and I'm debating what to do. I've had it only for a few months and so far I have gotten along just fine because it came with a 12 volts output in the dash and I could plug in my cel for example. But when something breaks I'll be debating what to do. Warren knows these things way better than me so most likely I will follow his suggestion... I think it depends how easy it is for you to get 12 volts parts. I'm a newbie with gwagons and being in North America it seems that finding any part is a challenge. In fact, if not for Warren who lives nearby I'm not sure it would be easier for me to find 12 volts parts than it is for 24 volts ones
Btw, while you debate what to do, converters from 24 volts to 12 volts are really cheap, I bought a 20A one this week for 20 USD
